Five members of the Strath
Haven High School Football Team have signed letters of intent
to play collegiate football.
Phil
Atkinson signed with Villanova University. Atkinson, who played
on both sides of the ball for the Panthers, chose the Wildcats
over two Big Ten schools.
Sam
McGarity signed to play in the Ivy League with the University
of Pennsylvania. The standout lineman from Swarthmore, PA chose
the Quakers over Lehigh and several other schools.
Tight end Dave
Peck signed with the University of Wisconsin. Peck also had
offers from Syracuse, Minnesota, and Navy.
Nick
Cresta inked an agreement with Kutztown University. Nick also
received scholarship offers from Holy Cross, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg
and E. Stroudsburg. He received interest from New Hampshire, West
Chester and Georgetown. Cresta was named All-State by numerous
press outlets, including the Associated Press and Pennsylvania
Football News.
Linebacker Dan
Connor is officially be a Nittany Lion. Connor is already
enrolled at Penn State. The standout had over 40 scholarship offers
last summer before deciding to attend PSU.
